PUBLIC MEETING 16th JUNE 2022 ROMSEY TOWN HALL AT 7:30PM
There will be a special meeting of the Joint Planning Committee (JPC) of Romsey Extra Parish Council and Romsey Town Council on Thursday 16th June 2022 in Romsey Town Hall at 7:30 pm
Please email info@romseytc.org.uk if you want to speak at the meeting.
This meeting is called to consider the outline planning application by the Ashfield Partnership for housing and other development at Whitenap. It is an opportunity for members of the public to put forward their views before the JPC decides on its formal response to this application.
THINGS TO NOTE
The JPC is only a consultee. It does not make the final decision. That will be made by Test Valley’s Southern Area Planning Committee at a later date.
The principle of this land being developed for housing is already established in the approved Borough Local Plan. That plan is a material planning consideration in planning law and is not open to change.
This application is an OUTLINE application only, seeking approval for the area to be developed and the entry and exit points for that development. So, formal objections will need to be limited to the matters in the application at this stage.
Other proposals put forward in the 140 plus documents will be dealt with later under RESERVED MATTERS applications. However, it will be useful to get your opinions now to advise the Ashfield Partnership and TVBC planning department of public thinking.
We will try to let as many people as possible speak on this application. If you want to speak, please let the Planning Clerk know by emailing info@romseytc.org.uk
Full details of the planning application can be found on the TVBC planning portal:

Cllr John Parker
Chairman, Romsey Extra/Romsey Town Joint Planning Committee.
