Due to Government guidance, please be advised that the Market intends to fully re-open on Friday 4th December (subject to Government restrictions)
Romsey Markets are held every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 8.30am to around 2.30pm. (Please note: The Market may not be fully operational in poor weather) Most stalls are in The Cornmarket with some moved to Market Place to facilitate better social distancing. We must stress that this decision will be kept under review and will be modified as UK Government changes its guidance.
Market Press Release, May 2019
There has been a market in Romsey for over 400 years which was originally operated under Royal Charter granted in 1607. Rights to hold the markets are retained by the owners of Broadlands Estate as "Lord of the Manor". On 2nd May 2019 Romsey Town Council announced the signing of a new agreement to ensure a successful future for Romsey Market. The agreement allows the market to operate under the joint management of Romsey Town Council and Bradbeers for the next 15 years.

Romsey Market is held in the Cornmarket, Romsey every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 3pm. It currently has an eclectic mix of traders trading on one or more of the days, stalls include flowers, bread, olives, mobile phone repairs and accessories, pies and sausages, soap, fresh fish, bike repairs, cards and clothing. We encourage even more potential traders to test their product with the public through the low-cost option of a market stall.
Please note: The Market may not be fully operational in poor weather
The Town Council would be pleased to receive comments and ideas from the public related to the market, and to speak with potential new traders. For further information please contact Judith Giles, Chief Officer, Romsey Town Council on 01794 512837 or email chiefofficer@romseytc.org.uk
